Baik sahabat configer kali ini kita akan sedikit membahas mengenai BGP Confederation pada MikroTik untuk topologinya seperti ini :
BGP Confederation berfungsi untuk membuat sub AS dalam AS yang besardan antar sub AS dikonfigurasi seperti layaknya eBGP.
oke pertama silahkan setting ip addressnya dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut :
R1 = E1 : 12.12.12.1/24 dan Loopback : 1.1.1.1/24
R2 = E1 : 12.12.12.2/24 E2 : 24.24.24.2/24 E3 : 23.23.23.2/24
R3 = E1 : 23.23.23.3/24 E2 : 34.34.34.3/24
R4 = E1 : 45.45.45.4/24 E2 : 34.34.34.4/24 E3 : 24.24.24.4/24
R5 = E1 : 45.45.45.5/24 dan Loopback : 5.5.5.5/24
Setelah kita setting ip addres pada eth dan ip loopback pada interface bridge sesuai dengan ketentuan diatas jangan lupa setting nama pada setiap router agar tidak bingung.R2 = E1 : 12.12.12.2/24 E2 : 24.24.24.2/24 E3 : 23.23.23.2/24
R3 = E1 : 23.23.23.3/24 E2 : 34.34.34.3/24
R4 = E1 : 45.45.45.4/24 E2 : 34.34.34.4/24 E3 : 24.24.24.4/24
R5 = E1 : 45.45.45.5/24 dan Loopback : 5.5.5.5/24
Selanjutnya kita hubungkan setiap router dengan menggunakan RIP

Kemudian aktifkan BGP Instance dan buat BGP Peer
[admin@R1] > routing bgp instance set default as=100
[admin@R1] > routing bgp peer add name=peer1 remote-address=12.12.12.2 remote-as=234
[admin@R2] > routing bgp instance set default as=20 confederation=234 confederation-peers=30,40 redistribute-connected=yes
[admin@R2] > routing bgp peer add name=peer1 remote-address=12.12.12.1 remote-as=100
[admin@R2] > routing bgp peer add name=peer2 remote-address=23.23.23.3 remote-as=40 nexthop-choice=force-self
[admin@R3] > routing bgp instance set default as=30 confederation=234 confederation-peers=20,40 redistribute-connected=yes
[admin@R3] > routing bgp peer add name=peer1 remote-address=23.23.23.2 remote-as=20
[admin@R3] > routing bgp peer add name=peer2 remote-address=34.34.34.4 remote-as=40 nexthop-choice=force-self
[admin@R4] > routing bgp instance set default as=40 confederation=234 confederation-peers=20,30 redistribute-connected=yes

buatlah BGP Network di R1 dan R5 untuk advertise menggunakan ip loopback nya[admin@R1] > routing bgp peer add name=peer1 remote-address=12.12.12.2 remote-as=234
[admin@R2] > routing bgp instance set default as=20 confederation=234 confederation-peers=30,40 redistribute-connected=yes
[admin@R2] > routing bgp peer add name=peer1 remote-address=12.12.12.1 remote-as=100
[admin@R2] > routing bgp peer add name=peer2 remote-address=23.23.23.3 remote-as=40 nexthop-choice=force-self
[admin@R3] > routing bgp instance set default as=30 confederation=234 confederation-peers=20,40 redistribute-connected=yes
